I purchased my Rip Ruck 24 for my Winter Steelhead trip's, here in the Pacific Northwest On the river for the morning and/or day, it carries probably more than I need and regardless of volume, it's always comfortable. Always moving to a different holes, pockets, or slots; crossing the river; casting on the move, it's never awkward and always comfortable. It rains here, especially in the winter, and it's never failed to keep thing's dry! Easy, quick access to compartments is a snap with the quick-zip features and the magnetic latches.

Great pack, good quality construction. I saw the water bottle pouches on the other two models and thought they came on the 24 also. I am really disappointed that I didn't catch the fact that it doesn't have them. I carry two Nalgene type bottles with me every day. They take up most of the interior of the pack. That being said, the pack is a quality you would expect from the Ranch. I believe it will last a long time.

Purchased two of these bags as get home car bags. Living in the DC area my wife and I are concerned with another 9/11 event that grid locks I-95 and we will have to hoof it back the 30-miles home. Our previous car bags had become these huge heavy apocalypse bags that would break a mule's back. These bags work great to keep the gear down. Took the bag to the DC auto show for the week to see how it would hold up slung on my back with 10 lbs of gear. It was great…the bag, not the show. The bag performed well and the straps were comfortable. It does ride high on my 6'4" frame.
