This season, some of Vansmost iconic Classics have been rebuilt with purposeful choices about the materials theyuse. Along with uppers made from suede and organic cotton canvas, the Sk8-Hi VR3 utilizes a biobased foam VR3Cush footbed for comfort you can feel good about and the new VR3Waffle outsole that uses natural rubber while still maintaining the grip and durability that Vans has been known for since '66.

  • Footbed: The new VR3Cush footbed is made using at least 25% biobased EVA foam partially derived from plants per the ASTM D6866-16 testing standard.
  • Outsole: The VR3Waffle outsole is made with a proprietary compound containing at least 25% responsibly sourced natural rubber obtained from sources that follow proven sustainable practices with the intention of reducing impacts on the planet. This new natural rubber compound was developed and engineered to maintain the grip and durability Vans is known for (since 66).
