The Black Diamond Traverse Ski Poles are THE backcountry classic, and haven't really changed much over the years because, well, they haven't needed to. 7075 Aluminum shafts in 16mm and 14mm diameters are durable and light, the rubber grip extension is perfectly placed, and the FlickLock adjustment mechanism simply works. Get some and go touring, in a decade or so they'll still be in your pole rotation.
