I used this a fair amount during spike elk and deer season. It may be a little over powered for close stuff as it's sometimes hard to find in the scope. Once you do its incredible how much detail you can see and the distance you can spot game and tell exactly how many points it has and it's it's worth stalking. I've had straight and angled and the angled is more comfortable to me for extended viewing.

This a great spotting scope. I use it mainly in a vehicle because of the size and weight. Great view, clear and crisp. Very nice eye relief. Extremely happy with my purchase.
