Description

Patagonia'smost active waterproof shell, the Stormstride Jacket combines exceptionally soft, quiet and supple fabric with motion-oriented patterning to forge an all-weather jacket designed specifically for high-output backcountry touring in unpredictable conditions. With a precise fit that allows the ultimate freedom to move, it provides H2No Performance Standard protection via a 3-layer, 100% nylon (54% recycled) plain weave fabric that has two-way stretch and a limber, forgiving feel. A DWR (durable water repellent) finish prevents saturation and increases abrasion resistance while the interior has a soft polyester knit backer lining that manages moisture and glides smoothly over baselayers. The helmet-compatible, two-way-adjustable hood has a laminated visor for optimal visibility and a Cohaesive cord-lock system, which embeds cord locks into the hood and hem to eliminate loose ends. Low-profile cuffs keep external conditions outside, pit zips provide a quick-venting option and the low-profile powder gasket includes gripper elastic, a hook-and-loop closure and a snap for the ultimate protection from snow and cold. Two deep chest pockets (one with zippered routing for an electronic device and one with an interior drop-in pouch) are positioned above a hip belt and two internal stash pockets are sized to hold a pair of skins. Includes an embedded RECCO avalanche rescue reflector. Fair Trade Certified sewn, which means the people who made it earned a premium for their labor.
